If there is no struggle, there is no progress!!

Struggles are all part of life. I do feel that some people are better at dealing with the everyday struggles in life and have more resiliency, while some of us tend to buckle under the weight of the pressures of life a little more intensely. Life is the sum total of your thoughts and beliefs about life. If you were taught that life will be a struggle, every experience you have will be framed within this thinking. Instead of being open-minded about what life throws at you, you will automatically be expecting bad things to happen.

Of course, bad things do happen but we can pre-empt negative occurrences. I’m not saying that life is always easy. Life is indeed a challenge. Each obstacle presents you with a different set of challenges. Get through these challenges, and you will make inroads into your goal. The reason these obstacles prevent us from moving forward comes down to how we choose to interpret events and circumstances, and the subsequent thoughts we choose to dwell upon.

You’ve heard that a million times that life has its ups and downs; but that’s not helpful. And people only tell you that when something bad is happening, right? Saying life has ups and downs sounds like it is a series of random bad and good events. Things in your life happen in cycles. The bad times mean you are on a downward swing on an aspect of your life. Remember that there will be an upward swing too. And, to make matters better, you can help minimize the downward swing. Having cycles is an essential part of your life as Life is made of them.

Life can be downright difficult at times. It can box you in and beat you down, holding no bars. While no one ever said that life would be easy, many of us were often ill-prepared for just how hard things could get. When we suffer through repeated failures and setbacks, getting through the tough times in life can seem like a fairytale fantasy.

I know that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. But I do know that life is what you make of it. Whatever we’re going through today, someone else has gone through. Always look to the things you have rather than the ones you don’t. We usually want what we don’t have, further exasperating the problem. However, to get through the tough times, we need to look at our haves rather than our have-nots. Every morning, find every little thing you can be grateful for. Whatever you have, no matter how little it might be, even if they’re problems, be grateful for them.

Each failure is painful. But somehow, one way or another, you make it through the tough times. The thing about failure is that it’s one of life’s greatest learning lessons. I know that, sometimes, our tough times didn’t happen because of failure or giving up, they happened because of loss. But even in times of loss, even when it seems as if all hope is gone, you will find the strength from within to conquer even the toughest of times.
