Positive Thoughts are the key to success
You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. Look back only to see how far you have come, not to wish you could turn back time.
You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. Breathe, enjoy the journey, and don’t take life so seriously. As long as you put in the effort and believe in yourself, you will get where you want to be.
Why do we stress ourselves thinking about what happens next? The future is uncertain, so let it go. You cannot predict how something today will affect what comes later, but most of the time the hardest things in our lives are the ones preparing us for a beautiful new beginning.
Trust the process, and lean on friends and family when things get rough. Once you make it through the storm there is a rainbow on the other side - and you will also know exactly who was meant to be there.
Paralysed by the next move
We get to make choices in life, but we often become mentally paralysed just thinking about the next one. To live the most fulfilling life possible, change is necessary. You control your life, so you decide how it unfolds. Listen to your heart.
I have come to think most of that paralysis comes from believing there is a single correct answer, and that choosing wrong is permanent.
Almost no decision is that final. Most can be adjusted, reversed, or survived. And the cost of standing still is real too - it just arrives quietly, spread over years, so nobody counts it. A wrong turn you correct in six months costs far less than a decision you never made at all.
Look back only to see how far you have come, not to wish you could turn back time. Once you have taken a decision, don’t regret it. Nothing is simply right or wrong. Go with the flow.
When you feel lost
When you feel lost, remember what you learnt from your past and keep your eyes on the good things ahead. If you hit a roadblock, you can always turn around and find another way. There are many paths, and you might still be looking for the right one.
So take your time and don’t rush your destiny.
Sometimes feeling lost just means you have not had enough time to connect with yourself. A walk somewhere green, or a short trip away from the noise, can give you the clarity you have been chasing.
Adults tend to feel lost because we have lived through a lot and endured a fair amount. Life hardens us a little and can make us cynical and closed off.
And I would add - feeling lost is not always a problem to be fixed. Sometimes it is the honest and appropriate response to a genuine transition. Something ended, or you outgrew something, and you have not yet found what is next. There is nothing wrong with you during that gap. There is just a gap, and gaps take the time they take.
Whenever you feel lost, pay attention to what you hear in the silence. Quiet your inner world and you will find what you need. Very often, feeling lost is simply the result of overthinking.
Take one step
To find your path, follow your intuition and never give up. Stay persistent and don’t let negative thinking pull you in too deep.
Sometimes taking one step is what reveals the whole staircase to the door you have been looking for. It does not take a grand plan to live a happy life - just following your heart, and making a decision rather than waiting for the perfect answer to appear.
The perfect answer does not appear. That is the part people wait years for. Clarity is much more often a product of movement than a prerequisite for it.
Above all, when you feel lost, keep faith in yourself.
Remember: suffering usually happens when there is something to learn from it, and darkness is necessary so we can appreciate the light. You will find your way. Just keep going, and don’t let false thoughts discourage you.
